Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) MNA and Party President for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Junaid Akbar, resigned from his post as president of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Akbar said he had resigned to the president of the president of the PTI Gohar Ali Khan, saying that the post was a trust given by the party and that he resigned from his instructions. He declared that any decision made by the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, would be accepted by him.
Meanwhile, the sister of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, Aleema Khan, in a conversation with PK Press Club Newsshared that his sisters had met the founder of PTI in recent days.
According to her, they had received a message concerning the resignation of Akbar, which was sent to the secretary general of the PTI Salman Akram Raja and the senior Omar Ayub official.
Addressing journalists outside the Parliament, Barrister Gohar said that he had been informed by the sister of the founder of the PTI the previous night about the directive concerning Akbar.
He described the situation as an internal party, adding that each time a directive comes from the founder of the party, it is followed. He expressed the confidence that the question would be resolved soon in accordance with these instructions.
Discussions in the background in the party confirmed that Imran Khan had ordered Akbar to resign from his PAC Post and to focus solely on parties of the parties, in particular Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The initiates suggested that Akbar’s double role was considered a constraint, and the founder of the party wanted him to focus more on organizational responsibilities.
Akbar had been elected without opposition as president of the CAP in January and was appointed president of the provincial party, replacing chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Speculation rose to the fact that Omar Ayub could be appointed president of the following CAP.
