Kanye West just sold his $14 million Wyoming ranch back to its original owners.
Bighorn Mountain Ranch, a 6,700-acre property, returned to the family who first sold it to the rapper in 2019, but during that long period of time the property fell into disrepair.
West purchased the ranch months after purchasing neighboring Monster Lake Ranch, where he unveiled ambitious plans to build futuristic domes that he said could help reduce homelessness.
The condition of Monster Lake has also worsened as the property has been neglected due to the fallout from his split from Kim Kardashian and aftershocks of his anti-Semitic remarks in 2022. It is currently up for sale for $12 million.
Bighorn Mountain Ranch owners Greg and Pam Flitner have now officially reclaimed their West family land, according to Cowboy State Daily.
The family told the outlet that their former home had fallen into significant disrepair.
“I think his original intention for the Mountain Ranch might have been a place where his family could go and get away from the rest of the world,” Pam explained.
Greg added: “A lot of people said he was a really, really good guy and was really focused most of the time.”
“So none of us can blame him for buying it and trying to accomplish something for himself,” he concluded.
