The authority also confirmed that the operations of the Karachi and Islamabad airports had been suspended, the suspension of Islamabad attributed to “operational reasons”.
Passengers were advised to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest updates concerning flight schedules.
Airport authorities said the decision was made due to the current national security situation.
Earlier Wednesday, the PAA confirmed that all airports across the country had resumed normal operations after a brief suspension of national airspace.
The temporary closure of the airspace followed the cross-border tensions which degenerated after the Indian forces made missile strikes in various places in Pakistan, including cities in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Tuesday-Merdi Evening.
In response to the strikes, the Pakistan armed forces reported to intercept and reduce five hunting planes from the Indian Air Force (IAF) and a combat drone. The soldiers also said they had destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters in reprisal action.
