A high-speed half-price collided with several motorcyclists near North Karachi Power House, causing an injury by three people.
After the incident, rabid demonstrators have launched serious demonstrations against the Dumper, set fire to five dumpsters, an oil tanker and a truck in various places, Express News reported.
According to rescue sources, people injured were immediately transferred to the hospital.
After the accident, local residents chased the parade driver and caught him on Manghopir Road. The public attacked the driver, after which the police arrived on the scene and placed him in police custody.
Despite the presence of the police, the demonstrators continued their violent actions, sparing the stones with several waste.
The fire truck of the new Karachi fire station, which was sent to extinguish the flames, was attacked by unknown agitators who trapped it with stones.
Consequently, the driver of the firefighters, Sabir, underwent an injury to the head and the windshield of the vehicle was broken.
The police and rescue teams arrived at the scene and tried to disperse the angry crowd. Authorities said additional police had been called to manage the situation.
According to police officials, the situation has been under control and the area is now safe.
Dig Irfan Baloch said that the patrols had been increased in the streets and key roads, central SSP also arriving at the scene. He assured that the people involved in violence would be arrested.
Police authorities added that after the incident of the fire of five waste and a truck in North Karachi Up Mor, the city police were alert, and all the links were invited to be on the street.
Police officials also said that no individual would be authorized to engage in a provocation or to take over.
