A video showing a domestic worker being brutally attacked on the stairs of a residential building in the buffer zone has gone viral on social media, prompting police to intervene. The footage shows a man physically attacking the woman, while another woman accompanying him tries to stop the attack.
According to the police, the incident took place on December 11, while a complaint was registered at the Gabol town police station following the complaint of the victim, Yasmeen. SHO Gabol Town Rao Khalid said the FIR was lodged after the victim approached the police after medical treatment.
In her statement, Yasmeen said she was employed for cleaning work in House No. R-530, Sector 15-B, Buffer Zone. She said that on December 10, a small verbal argument occurred between her and Shamsa, Nauman’s wife, during work hours.

The next day, December 11, as Yasmeen was going down the stairs to leave around 4:30 p.m., Nauman arrived and started beating her, verbally abusing her and pushing her down the stairs. She said residents in the area intervened and managed to rescue her. As a result of this attack, she suffered internal injuries to her face and body.
After receiving medical treatment, Yasmeen filed a complaint, following which the police registered FIR No. 217/2025 against Nauman under sections 504, 354 and 337-A(i) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The case has been referred to the investigation department for further action.
SHO Rao Khalid said the police conducted several raids at the suspect’s house, but the accused locked the house and fled. Efforts continue to find and arrest the suspect.
