Karachi: Karachi traffic police have announced a detailed traffic diversion for the Central Chehlum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain scheduled for Friday (tomorrow).
According to a press release from the Office of the Deputy Inspector General of the Police (traffic) Karachi, the main procession will leave from Nishtar Park and, after having followed its traditional route, will end in Hussainia Iranian Imambargah.
Due to security problems, my Jinnah Road will remain closed from Guru Mandir to Tower.
Alternative routes – Central district:
Nazimabad’s traffic will be diverted from Lasbela Chowk to Nishtar Road via Garden to their destinations.
The circulation of Liaquatabad will turn right in Teen Hatti to Lasbela Chowk or left towards Martin Road (central prison).
The traffic from Hassan Square to PPP Chowrangi will go under the overflour of the prison towards the Chemin du Cashmere, Society Light Signal (Shahrah-E-Quaideen), and via the overview of the prison to Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road (Lasbela Chowk).
Alternative routes – East District:
4. The traffic from Shahrah-E-Faisal to Shahrah-E-Quaideen (Nooorani Kebab) towards Nunish will turn right to Society Light Signal to Cachemir Road.
5. The traffic at the central door of the prison (Ramshed Road) in Guru Mandir will be diverted from Guru Mandir via Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.

6. The garden zoo traffic at my Jinnah Road will turn right to Uncle Sarya to Gul Plaza or on the left to the Coast Guard and the Saint-Familand Hospital.
Diversions of heavy traffic:
All heavy / sales vehicles from Super Highway or Gulberg to my Jinnah Road will be diverted from Liaquatabad n ° 10 in Nazimabad Chowrangi n ° 2 via Habib Bank Flyover, Emergate Avenue, Sher Shah in Mauripur – and Vice Versa for the return route.
Heavy / salespeople from the National Highway to the City can use Shahrah-E-Faisal or Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Sir Shah Suleman Road, Hassan Square, Liaquatabad No. 10, Nazimabad Chowrangi n ° 2, the same way to the Bank Habib, Emerginet Avenue, Sher Shah in Mauripur- The same route.
No traffic, whatever its size, will be authorized on the procession path beyond Guru Mandir Chowk, with diversions to Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar. Entrance to my Jinnah Road will only be authorized for vehicles with a procession sticker on the windshield, the entrance authorized via Shahrah-E-Quaideen from Society Light Signal.

They can also join via Bahadur Yar Jang Road (Soldier Bazaar), Holy Family Hospital, a right -wing tour at the Nasra school in Capri Light Signal.
DIG Karachi traffic has stressed that no vehicle would be allowed to park along the procession at any time.
