The weather in Karachi is expected to remain dry and cool over the next 24 hours, with light fog forecast for Wednesday morning.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) recorded a minimum temperature of 12.5°C on Tuesday and predicted the mercury to drop to between 11 and 13°C in the next 24 hours.
Northeast winds are expected and humidity is 52%. A cold wave is expected to hit Karachi and other parts of Sindh from January 24, with temperatures reaching single digits by the end of the month.
Cold westerly winds could bring precipitation across the country and snowfall at higher altitudes.
On Sunday morning, the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 10.2°C, a drop of 4.3°C from the previous day.
Meanwhile, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country over the next 12 hours.
However, rain with snow over hills is likely in northwest Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.
Light to moderate fog in patches is likely to persist in most districts of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours.

According to the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy and cold weather is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, while cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snow in Leh.
