Demonstrations broke out in different districts of the metropolis after several localities remained without electricity for more than 50 hours after heavy rains on August 19.
Residents of University Road, Tipu Sultan Road, Moinabad, Bustan Society, Amirabad and the adjacent regions said that power had been extinguished around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, fire, and had not yet been restored. The suspension of the water supply has added to their misery.
Angry citizens organized sit-ins outside the electric office K, singing slogans against public service to ignore repeated complaints.
