In the touching post, Cassidy also posted a black-and-white throwback of her and Payne lying on the bed while the singer wrapped his arm around her neck from behind and placed a kiss on her cheek.

For those who don’t know, Payne died last year after falling from the third floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old.

The late singer-songwriter is survived by his parents, sisters Nicola and Ruth, girlfriend Cassidy and only son Bear, whom he shares with ex Cheryl Cole.

On October 12, Cassidy reflected on the last “goodbye” and the last time she saw him alive.

She remembers the day she left for home in the United States, leaving her boyfriend in Argentina where they spent two quality weeks before he fell to his death.

“A year ago today, October 12, was the last day I spent with Liam,” she said in a video posted to her social media.

The last day I was with Liam in Argentina before I left, the car was in the driveway. I was sitting on the couch and expressing to him how much I’m going to miss him, how much I love him. Honestly, it’s so weird going back because it was such a long, heartfelt goodbye,” Cassidy continued.

His voice cracked, adding, “He looked at me and he said, ‘Kaitlin, you’re going to miss your flight, you’re acting like this is the last time you’ll see me again.'”

She concluded the video with a message saying, “Remember you never know what tomorrow will bring and tell your loved ones you love them. Hold them a little closer today. Goodbye guys.”
