Kate Middleton supports her husband, Prince William, who is determined to distance himself from Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
According to royal sources, the Prince and Princess of Wales have urged King Charles to make changes, insisting the monarchy must move forward without “favoritism or further controversy”.
The king, who is continuing his treatment for cancer, is said to support their position but hopes to handle the matter with discretion.

“They told the king that things had to change – the monarchy had to move forward without favoritism or further controversy.
“In their view, Andrew and Sarah’s stay at the Royal Lodge only keeps the family stuck in old scandals.”
Palace aides further revealed that Wales was increasingly taking charge as Charles reduced his duties.
“Wales are taking matters into their own hands and drawing clear lines,” they said. “Kate, in particular, is done with all the fuss.
“She is trying to protect her family and ensure the future of the monarchy. It is about preserving what little credibility the institution still has.”
“She has endured a very difficult year and continues to show incredible resilience,” the source continued.
“But seeing these same scandals resurface as she attempts to recover has left her completely exhausted. All she wants now is for the family to finally move forward.”
