Kate Middleton’s summer plans with her children aim to create a safe space for the family.
The Prince of Wales, who is in remission of cancer, wants to spend private time with his children and her husband Prince William.
The former Royal Correspondent of the BBC, Jennie Bond, told Mirror: “The truth is that the school holidays are anchored as a private time for the prince and the princess of Wales and their young family. And, nowadays, this means that their plans remain confidential and that they are almost alone.
“This is a massive change compared to the days where William was a boy. At the time, the paparazzi considered Diana, William and Harry as public property, no matter where they were. Fortunately, after the death of the princess, things have changed. And that must be a huge relief for Wales.
She continued: “This does not mean that William will disappear from public tasks – there is the visit of the incoming state of President Macron, for example, and I am sure that there will be a handful of other commitments that he will face. Catherine will largely dedicate herself to take care of children, but we can see her during events like Wimbledon and the visit of the State.”
