Kate Middleton, who holds an important position within the royal family, had received a major honor, which consolidated her position within the monarchy.
The Princess of Wales is said to have received training for her future position supporting Prince William, when the time comes for him to ascend the throne. Despite his health scare last year, King Charles entrusted his beloved daughter-in-law with crucial roles to represent him during the reign.
The Princess of Wales stood alongside the Prince of Wales in a stunning ensemble for the German state banquet at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. While Kate stole the show with her dazzling look, the most striking piece of her entire look was the headpiece that she debuted at the big event.
Kate wore the Oriental Circlet tiara, frequently worn by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Previously, Kate had worn her much-loved Lover’s Knot tiara to several state banquets.
According to the court jeweler, Queen Victoria had explicitly mentioned in her will that the tiara was intended to be worn “only by future queens and queen consorts.”
It was a wedding gift given to Victoria by her father, the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, when she married the future King George VI in 1923. After Queen Victoria, the next royal to wear the crown was her daughter-in-law, Queen Alexandra.
