Aspiration Partners Inc., the company which would have concluded a legal agreement of $ 28 million with the star of Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard, for a “non-presentation work”, lacked money in December 2022, but still paid Leonard.
The environmental company based in San Francisco has dismissed employees, including certain executives, because it lacked money. Sports journalist, Pablo Torre, said that the owner of the Clippers minority, Dennis J. Wong, had made nearly an investment of $ 2 million in suction while the company had trouble in a recent episode of his podcast.
The aspiration then paid Leonard $ 1.75 million in Wong’s investment, fulfilling the required amount which was agreed in its approval contract with the company while the company releases employees.

The NBA announced last week that it was investigating the Leonard $ 28 million approval contract to determine whether it has circumvented the league wage ceiling rules.
The aspiration has filed a record this year. He listed several creditors at the time, including the Clippers, who owed around 30 million dollars, and a company called KL2 Aspire LLC, which was due $ 7 million.
Leonard is listed as director of this company in California documents. KL is his initials, and 2 is his jersey number.

The owner of the Clippers, Steve Ballmer, made an investment of $ 50 million in the aspiration, and the company and the team announced a partnership of $ 300 million in September 2021. It was about a month after Leonard signed an extension of $ 176 million over four years with the Clippers.
Ballmer vehemently denied any reprehensible act and praised the league investigation.
“We did things by the book,” Ballmer told ESPN last week.

The NBA commissioner Adam Silver spoke after a meeting of the Council of Governors in New York – the one to which the owner of the Clippers, Steve Ballmer, said – and said that the League would wait to see the report of the external company that he hired to carry out his investigation before taking the next steps.
“We are constantly learning in the League office and again, I reserve a judgment because I do not know the facts here,” said Silver. “I don’t know what Kawhi was paid. I don’t know what he did or did not do. We will leave it all for the investigation.”
PK Press Club Digital contacted the Clippers and Leonard for a comment on the last report but did not immediately obtain an answer.
