President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected to undertake his first official state visit to Pakistan from February 3-4 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.

“The visit will provide an important and timely opportunity for both sides to undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, discuss new avenues for expanding cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, logistics, regional connectivity, people-to-people contacts, and explore collaboration in regional and international forums.”

The statement said the visit reflects the strengthening of ties between the two countries, their mutual commitment to transforming their historical and cultural affinities into strong cooperation, and their common desire for peace and progress in the region.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also visit Pakistan on February 5-6.
