Keanu Reeves takes a trip down memory lane and rejoices in his time spent with his “hero” Gene Hackman.
Keanu shared the spotlight with Gene in the 2000s The replacementswhere the legendary actor played Coach Jimmy McGinty, who manages the replacement players on a football team. The matrix The star played left-handed quarterback Shane Falco.
Reeves, 61, remembers making the film while chatting with Jason and Travis Kelce on their podcast New heights.
Jason praised Gene’s performance as a coach and asked Keanu what it was like acting alongside him.

Sharing an insight into how Gene was on set, he added: “Basically, he didn’t do any stupid things, no b——– came to work ready to go, knew the lines, knew what was going on and didn’t really suffer from people not doing that,” he said.
“He took a look,” Keanu added, mimicking the Unforgiven star’s look.
Travis remarked that Gene looks like a “real coach” and shared that Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid can take one look and tell you that “you better tighten things up.”
Keanu then dispelled rumors that the Ravens asked him to play in the NFL.
“It’s absolutely absurd,” Keanu Reeves said, “don’t start believing you can actually do it.”
