During the weekend, President Donald Trump expressed his support for Keegan Bradley to select himself as a captain for the United States team at the Ryder Cup next month.
Trump did not obtain his wish, because Bradley, although he was ranked 11th among American players, did not choose to be part of the team of 12 men.
Bradley selected Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns to represent the United States instead.

The winner of the reigning traveler championship said that “the decision had been made some time ago” that he would not play, and even the support of the president could not convince him. However, this still meant a lot for the 39 -year -old man.
“It was really surreal. I was really breathtaking by support. Each time you get the support of the President of the United States, it is surreal and surprising. I really appreciate it, Mr. President. I hope you are not disappointed,” said Bradley, adding that he is “look”[ing] impatient to see [him] to the Ryder Cup. “”
Trump announced that he would attend the first day of the tournament. The NE also visited the 2017 Presidents Cup in Jersey City.
“When you see things like that, you start wondering how we got to this point in my life,” Bradley cracked. “But I was deeply honored to make him say.”
Rory McILroy recently said that he did not think it was possible to be a game captain – no one did it since Arnold Palmer in 1963.

PK Press Club Digital asked Bradley about McILroy’s comments and if he thought he wanted to prove that McILroy was wrong, but he seemed completely agree with McILroy, while taking a separation.
“I am not at all worried about what they do or say. I care about our team. I don’t really know how it can be possible. No one has ever done it,” said Bradley.
“I said through this process that I would like to be able to call Arnold Palmer and get his advice. The simple fact is that the Ryder Cup is an animal completely different from what it was in the 1960s. Even it would be difficult. They can make comments on what I can and I cannot do, no one would have known. Team, and that was the decision I thought was the best.”
