The valiant effort of the Indiana Fever to ensure that the WNBA final ends Tuesday evening when they fell to A’ja Wilson and Las Vegas Aces in match 5, 107-98.
The Kelsey Mitchell fever goalkeeper was a bright point for the team all season while the alignment saw several star players, including Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, descend for the season due to an injury. But Mitchell had a scary moment herself during the match.

Mitchell was about to roll along the reference base in the fourth quarter when Aliyah Boston was called for his fifth fault. The guardian of the veterans was held in the key for a while and grabbed the arm of an official, seeming to point out that she needed help. She went downstairs to the ground while the fever players and the staff came to her.
She was helped out of the ground and in the locker room. The fever said Mitchell had been taken to hospital for severe cramps.
Mitchell revealed on Wednesday that she suffered from a medical condition called rhabdomyolysis that could prevent her muscles from working properly.

“I suffered from something called rhabdomyolysis last night. My muscles stopped producing and reached its maximum capacity,” she wrote. “I went into a feeling of numbness / feeling of paralyzing without movement of my lower limbs up to 5 to 7 seconds.
“I panicked because I started thinking about the worst when I felt that I couldn’t move my legs. It was an experience out of the body and I thank God for having covered me at a time like that.”
Mitchell, an All-Star three times, was one of the fever players who have enormously intensified the absences of their other stars. She has played 44 games this season, with an average of 20.2 points and 3.4 assists per game.
