The list of Phoenix Suns will be very different this fall.

Maluach was visibly emotional moments after the NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced his name from the draft scene.

Maluach was a member of the South Sudan national basketball team who pushed the United States team to the Paris Olympic Games. Before landing in Durham, North Carolina, Maluach participated in the NBA Academy Africa. He is now the most written player in the academy.
“I represent the whole continent here,” said Maluach to ESPN for a few moments after crossing the draft scene and shakes Silver’s hand at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“Living in Africa, I had the whole continent on my back, giving hope to young children, inspiring young children and the next generation of African basketball.”

Maluach collected an average of 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game during his only season in Duke. He started 39 games for the Blue Devils, who qualified for the Final Four in April.
Maluach wore a hats of rockets on the repechage scene because the reported transaction in which it has been included has not yet been official. Maluach wore a Sun hat at a press conference after being drafted. He expressed his enthusiasm at the idea of heading to Arizona.
“I am delighted to put the Phoenix jersey which has my name, which has” Maluach “on the back”, he told journalists. “I am delighted to play for the Suns and walk on the ground.”
