Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Saturday that India was once again planning a “false flag” operation and warned of a strong response if such an attempt was made.
“India is planning a false flag operation, possibly using its own people or Pakistanis in its custody, dumping bodies and claiming that they were terrorists and had been apprehended,” Asif said while speaking to media in Sialkot.
His remarks come after sources revealed on Tuesday that India was planning a false flag operation by exploiting innocent Pakistanis, especially Kashmiris, who crossed the border inadvertently, due to “frustration and isolation” over the federal government’s active role in mediation efforts to end the Middle East war.
Sources revealed that Indian authorities were rounding up several of these innocent individuals from various prisons for an organized operation. “A few Indian prisoners are also allegedly involved in this heinous conspiracy to give a realistic touch to the drama,” they said.

Asif said a year ago, India was facing humiliation in front of the world and its own people criticizing it – a trend he said would continue indefinitely.
“If they try to commit such a tragedy this time, we will respond with force and go all the way to Calcutta, just like our air force hit them on their own territory almost a year ago,” he said.
Speaking about Pakistan’s role as a mediator in the US-Israel war against Iran, the defense minister said the country was playing a constructive role in promoting peace in the region.
“Pakistan plays a role – pray that we succeed in this role, peace is established in the region and differences between our brothers end,” he said.
He also highlighted the need for unity in the Muslim world, saying: “The need for unity in the Muslim world is greater than ever, and Pakistan is making efforts towards such unity. »
A day earlier, Asif had warned his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh against escalating tensions ahead of the anniversary of the deadly Pahalgam attack, terming the latter’s recent threatening remarks as provocative and politically motivated.
On April 22 last year, 26 tourists were killed in a brutal attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Just weeks before the anniversary, Singh issued a stern warning to Pakistan earlier today against any misadventure at the border, saying any hostile action by Pakistan would result in a decisive and unprecedented response.

In a pointed post on Asif accused New Delhi of relying on “fabricated crises” that have not stood up to international scrutiny.
“Such threat incitement is not new,” he said, adding that it followed a predictable pattern of externalizing India’s internal vulnerabilities and provoking escalation under the guise of unsubstantiated allegations in the name of vested political interests.
