The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced Thursday that emergency alert sirens will be installed in 29 districts to mitigate the risks to civilians in the event of potential air threats, following recent climbing with India, reported the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

Tensions between the two nations have been strengthened since the deadly attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, occupied the cashmere, which killed 26 people, mainly tourists. India has insinuated cross -border participation without evidence, while Pakistan firmly rejected the accusation and called for an independent investigation.

According to the report, the sirens will be installed in high -risk areas to provide real -time alerts, allowing citizens to take precautions in the event of air threats. A notification of the Civil Defense Department KP advised citizens to seek a shelter immediately after hearing a mermaid and prioritizing the safety of children, women and the elderly.

District administrations have been responsible for installing the sirens in a timely time. The affected districts include Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mardan, Kohat, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and others.

The public was invited to refrain from spreading rumors or abusing mermaids, because the measure is intended to protect life and goods during potential conflict.
