Kid Cudi opens onto the dark past with weeds dependence

Kid Cudi becomes honest on his sobriety trip

Kid Cudi overflows from how his relationship with marijuana changed after a past of high dependence.

In a recent conversation with People, The rapper spoke of his readmission to rehabilitation in November 2024, which he also shared in his book CUDI: the memory.

“I was just in this place where I abused him,” said Cudi. “I really abused him. I might smoke 15 shots a day, wake up in the morning, I rose. It really judged my life.”

Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, revealed that it was even sober for two months before restarting by taking it in moderation.

“And now I am just after the night or the weekend when I have free time and I relax, but I don’t smoke as much grass as I smoked before,” he said.

“A joint lasts me all day, damn close. So my relationship has changed with it in a major way. And I’m just more interested in being sober much more and being more present.”

Cudi added that the cup improved his game. “Because in this film, I cried a handful of times and it was easy to get there because I was sober,” he said. “There is no way I could have done that if I was high like S ***.”
