There is a major and non -negotiable rule in the Buckingham Palace which is not non -negotiable from the king.
This was revealed during a documentary Channel 5 and concerns meal hours.
According to the doc entitled Royal residences: a map of Great Britain“There are 450 clocks in the castle of Windsor and they must all be modified by hand.”
And of all these clocks, that “in the kitchen of the castle of Windsor is always kept five minutes quickly just to make sure that the food of the monarch is still on the table in time”, according to the royal expert Emily Andrews.
In terms of care for these clocks in question, the royal family has employed nearly three people who manage them throughout the year.
Ms. Jennie Bond says it takes more than 16 hours to move these watches accordingly, “every spring and every fall”.
This is only the case for the castle of Windsor because in other residences, such as the King’s house in London, there are more than 350 clocks, while the Holyroodhouse Palace has about 50. In total, it takes more than 30 hours from start to finish.
