King Charles and Queen Camilla sent a heartfelt message congratulating Team GB and Commonwealth athletes after the Winter Paralympics concluded in Milan Cortina, Italy.
Sharing the note on Instagram this Sunday, Her Majesty praised the incredible achievements of medalists from Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
“As the Winter Paralympic Games draw to a close, my wife and I send our most sincere congratulations to all the medalists,” the king wrote.
He praised the extraordinary determination of the athletes, their commitment and the tireless dedication of their support teams.
The message also paid tribute to all Commonwealth participants, many of whom competed despite significant personal challenges.
Duchess Sophie was on the ground supporting the athletes alongside her husband, Prince Edward, patron of the British Paralympic Association.
A devoted supporter of Team GB and ParalympicsGB, the Duchess frequently attends major sporting events to cheer on British competitors.
Princess Anne also sent her best wishes to the team, reinforcing royal support for British Paralympians within the family.
