King Charles and Prince William have reportedly made a big decision for Kate Middleton as the Princess of Wales prepares to celebrate her 43rd birthday on Thursday.
The future queen will turn 43 on January 9 after an incredibly difficult 12 months.
But January 9 also marks the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of 100 on December 29, 2024.
King Charles reportedly chose to send his youngest brother, Prince Edward, to represent the United Kingdom at the service at the Washington National Cathedral.
THE Daily Express reported that Prince Edward is expected to travel to the United States this week to attend the state funeral of former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday.
Previously, Prince William was expected to travel to Washington for the service honoring the 39th president.
However, according to the Mirror, William’s focus is firmly on his family and the Prince of Wales has reportedly made it clear that he wants to be with his wife on her special day to ensure it remains a family affair.
Royal expert Jennie Bond said ALL RIGHT!: “This birthday will be memorable in so many ways – it will mark the start of a hopefully happier new year and the end of a year that has been brutal for the whole family.”
