King Charles and Queen Camilla throw a special birthday party for Duchess Sophie

Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, is set to receive a special birthday party from King Charles and Queen Camilla at Clarence House, a former butler has revealed.

According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, the King and Queen would do their best to make the day memorable for Sophie a day after posting delightful snaps of her on their official Instagram account.

Harrold, who worked for King Charles from 2004 to 2011, revealed Prince Edward will also make sure his wife feels “special” on her big day as she celebrates her 60th birthday.

“Sophie really doesn’t like stories and she’s very humble,” he said of Sophie, speaking with Royal initiate. “She is very dedicated to her work, to her husband, to her family and was very devoted to the late Queen.”

“She is now very devoted to her brother-in-law,” Harrold continued. “I have no doubt that the King will throw a birthday party for her, probably at Clarence House, with as many members of the royal family as possible.”

“Sophie is a truly lovely person and much loved and respected within the family and the public. I’m sure she will also have private celebrations with her own family.

“Everyone is going to make a big deal out of it.”

The former royal butler further revealed that Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, would “make sure she feels very special and that’s a real milestone for her.”

“Actually, it’s hard to believe she’s 60 because she looks so beautiful,” he said before concluding.
