King Charles made a quiet appearance at the Sandringham royal estate church on Sunday, greeting well-wishers as he arrived for the service.
The monarch attended without Queen Camilla, stepping out in his familiar attire.
The look was completed by a classic umbrella with a wooden handle that has become a sort of royal signature during country outings.
The King greeted members of the public waiting outside, offering them a friendly wave before heading inside for the service at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The low-key outing followed the publication of Charles’ annual message marking Commonwealth Day, celebrated on March 9.
As head of the Commonwealth, the King used his speech to reflect on the challenging global climate, highlighting the growing pressure caused by armed conflict, environmental disruption and a rapidly changing world.
In his message, the monarch highlighted that communities around the world are going through a time filled with both uncertainty and opportunity.
He stressed that difficult times often reveal the resilience and unity that unites nations, describing these times as those when the enduring spirit of the organization becomes most visible.
