Prince Harry is still waiting for an invitation from King Charles to meet him on his return to the United Kingdom to attend the Wellchild Awards.
The Duke of Sussex paid a private tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of the third anniversary of his death, which sparked new speculations on a possible reconciliation with the royal family.
Although the visit may suggest that Harry is open to repair ties, the royal commentator Grant Harrold, former butler in the monarch, believes that a meeting remains unlikely due to deeply rooted confidence problems.
Speaking to New York PostHarrold said the king is missing his son, but Prince William remains cautious because he fears that Harry can use all the interactions to his advantage.
Harrold told the publication: “There are problems of confidence there, but the king is missing his son [Harry]. “”
“William fears that with what Harry said, he can use it again to his advantage … As he has already finished,” he added.
“I think, unfortunately, they don’t trust him. It’s a shame, because Harry wants them to do it.”
