King Charles understands that many is at stake while he is preparing to meet Prince Harry.
His Majesty, who should meet his separate son in September, knows that the implementation requires many things of him on the emotional level.
The Royal Tom Bower biographer reveals: “Harry has a huge mountain to overcome.”
He adds: “On a human basis, he used to make fun of Charles, so in particular from Harry’s point of view, he needs reconciliation. But time is not on their side.”
“There would be huge levels of emotion involved if they meet. Everything Charles is confronted, he would prefer to have a good relationship with his son, so I’m sure he wants reconciliation. But he must keep in mind that he is dealing with someone who could sabotage everything and embarrass him enormously.”
“The fear of the judicial case was that Harry could invent something that the king said about the case – and that would lead to a constitutional crisis,” said Tom. “This fear has prevented any meeting so far, but even now, the case is over, fear is still.”
