King Charles reportedly decided to groom Prince William to take the throne after realizing his time on earth was “limited.”
As the monarch hesitates to abdicate his throne in favor of his and the late Princess Diana’s firstborn, a new report claims Charles has had a change of heart.
Talk with Online speed camerasa royal source revealed that Charles decided to prepare his son to rule and take over the monarchy so he could focus on his cancer treatment.
An insider revealed that cancer has taken its toll on Charles, as he was recently spotted in an “emotional” state while speaking with a Church of England elder.
“Charles was visibly emotional, with his head buried in his hands at one point,” they said. “This is not the king his subjects are used to seeing, and it was extremely disturbing to anyone present.”
“The king realizes that his time on Earth is limited,” they continued. “He is now focused on making peace with God and making sure William is ready to take over after he leaves.”
The source further revealed that the monarch found peace in religion as “his cancer is literally eating him alive.”
“The situation becomes difficult to manage and requires him to prepare Prince William to launch,” they continued.
They added that Charles was relieved to pass his throne to William and his wife, Kate Middleton, knowing he “will be in good hands.”
“King Charles is understandably delighted that Kate has beaten cancer for several reasons,” the royal source said. “But on a pragmatic level it says the monarchy is now in (good) health and in good hands for another generation.”
