King Charles, Prince William and Harry’s childhood secrets revealed in new video

It wouldn’t be wrong to call King Charles’s beloved Highgrove estate, Gloucestershire, a horticultural paradise.

King Charles may have many secrets, but some of them hold very pleasant surprises for royal fans.

In a new video, posted to Highgrove Garden’s Instagram feed on Tuesday, the glorious garden reveals some secrets from King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Charles happily adored his Gloucestershire estate, Highgrove, and one of its great highlights is its award-winning garden. It’s a maze of wonder with lots of surprises along the way.

The stunning clips also revealed the childhood secrets of the two royal brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry.

The video shows William and Harry’s thatched treehouse, built for William’s 7th birthday in 1989 and affectionately named Hollyrood in honor of Holyrood House.

Other highlights were a temple, a serene water feature and numerous perfectly manicured hedges. One of the less visible features was a wall topped with stone heads.

In an archival article shared in 2018, the Highgrove team explained the significance of these head and shoulders sculptures.

The post said: “What you may not know about the #RoyalGardens at Highgrove is that many busts of people who influenced the life of the Prince of Wales are placed there, from famous composers to environmental activists, in an exhibition known as the ‘Wall of the Worthy’.”

Elsewhere in the garden there is a life-size tribute to his beloved pet dog, Tigga, who died in 2002.

The dog was put down at the age of 18 after suffering the effects of old age, and the monarch was said to have been “very sad” about it. The King, who was then Prince of Wales, commissioned an artist to create a sculpture of his dog for his garden.
