King Charles honored Sir Billy Boston’s services for the rugby league on Tuesday.
The monarch made a major decision the chivalry during a ceremony at the Buckingham Palace.
According to the photos shared by the official Instagram handle of the royal family, Sir Billy became the first sportsman to receive chivalry for the Rugby League.
The press release said: “Today in Buckingham Palace, Sir Billy Boston became the first sportsman to receive a chivalry for services at the Rugby League.”
“The king presented Sir Billy – who is considered one of the best players in the rugby league of all time, marking a British record of 571 trials and 488 appearances for @wganwarriorsrl – with his badge during a ceremony in Buckingham Palace,” he read.
The photos showed the excitement of Sir Billy after being scalled at chivalry by King Charles. He was surrounded by his family when he received the honor, who also looked delighted.
