Kingdom Come: Deliverance Developer Warhorse Studios has released a surprise update for the game, improving the experience for those playing on Xbox Series X and Series S or PlayStation 5.
Dubbed “NextGen Update,” it contains a host of improvements designed to take full advantage of current-gen hardware. This includes improving the graphics to the equivalent of the “Ultra” configuration on PC, with high-resolution textures and 4K imaging.
This is also not a simple patch, but rather a set of full native ports Xbox Series X and Series S, PS5 and PS5 Pro. All consoles will offer up to 60fps, with FSR scaling and antialiasing added.
Considering the game originally ran at around 30fps when it launched on PS4 and Xbox One, these are pretty substantial upgrades that should bring the experience closer to that of the excellent sequel. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Some minor changes included in this upgrade include the ability to link a Deep Silver account, as well as new Czech and Japanese voiceover options. The Turkish, Ukrainian and Brazilian Portuguese languages have also been improved.
Best of all, this entire update will be free for those who already own the game on console. If you don’t have it yet, you can get the Standard Edition or the Royal Edition to take advantage of the new features today.
