Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muzzammil Aslam on Sunday said the Finance Ministry has issued a notification to release Rs 3 billion for the Sehat card scheme as per the directives of CM Sohail Afridi.
In a statement, the chief minister expressed concern over the cessation of funds for Sehat Card during his visit to Khyber Teaching Hospital and directed the affected wards to immediately release the funds.
Aslam said the health department was the top priority of the provincial government, adding that the KP finance department had allocated Rs41 billion for the Sehat card this year compared to Rs36 billion the previous year.
