The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has sent a new emergency medication supply to Upper Kurram While retaining its operations during the current helicopter, Ehtesham Khan, provincial health adviser, said on Monday.
More than 500 kg of emergency drugs, given by various NGOs and charitable organizations, are transported by plane to the region aboard the provincial government’s mid -7 helicopter.
The supplies will be given to the medical superintendent to parachinar.
Despite the crisis, the federal government has not yet provided medication or financial aid, said Ehtesham Khan, criticizing the inaction.
“The inhabitants of Kurram continue to turn to the support center, but nothing has happened so far,” he added.
Meanwhile, local authorities report that helicopter evacuations have transported more than 230 people to the district, the flights still in progress.
More than 1,200 patients received medical treatment as emergency efforts persist.

The administration also confirmed the demolition of bunkers in Piwar and Balish Khel to strengthen stability in the region.
Last week, the authorities of the Kurram district demolished four other bunkers in the context of continuous efforts to enforce a local peace agreement, while rival factions should organize a second round of talks in Peshawar today, according to Express News.
According to district officials, the abolition of bunkers takes place as agreed, with the latest demolitions taking place at Balish Khel and Anarkali using explosives.
The authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to implement the Kohat peace agreement, which aims to stabilize the region. Measures such as escorted convoys are also introduced to ensure public security.
