Islamabad:
A case of newly confirmed polio in KP increased the cases of Total polio this year at 18, said the regional reference laboratory for the eradication of polio at the National Health Institute on Friday.
The last case includes a 10 -month tank boy, the 11th case of KP in 2025.
The Pakistani polio eradication program warned that each unvaccinated child has remained in danger and could contribute to the spread of the virus. He said that the only effective protection against polio was repeated oral polio vaccine for each child under the age of five in each campaign, as well as essential vaccinations in a timely manner.
