KP sees 605 terrorist attacks in 8 months

Peshawar:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa witnessed a sharp increase in terrorist incidents, with 605 cases reported in the first eight months of this year, making 138 dead civilians and 352 injured.

According to figures from the Central Police Office (CPO), 351 alleged terrorists were appointed in cases related to terrorism during this period. Security operations have led to the murder of 32 terrorists and the arrest of five others.

The data also reveals that the province’s police forces have made a heavy price, with 79 martyred employees and 130 injured in various attacks.

In August alone, 129 terrorist incidents were reported throughout the province. These attacks claimed the lives of 17 civilians and left 51 wounded. During the same month, 186 suspects were identified, while eight terrorists were killed during meetings. The rupture by district shows that Bannu recorded the greatest number of attacks in August with 42 incidents.
