Kristne Bell and Dax Shepherd received unfiltered feedback from their daughters about their 2012 film, Hit and run.
During a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!The Idiocracy star revealed that Lincoln (12) and Delta (10) saw the film and were stunned to see Bell’s character break away from his character.
“They were very upset,” he shared of their children’s quick and brutally honest reaction. “And what made me so happy was that they were angry at Mom, not at me. They thought Mom was a slut. They thought Dad was a good boy with a bad past, and that she should be able to ignore that, and I agree.”
Bell sitting next to her partner during the November 28 episode laughed off the criticism.
She noted that the children ultimately liked the film.
“We spent all this time making this independent movie and Dad wrote it and directed it and they were like, ‘We want to see it,'” Dax continued.
“And we haven’t watched it in forever. We’re like, ‘OK, let’s watch it with you.’ They loved it. This is very inappropriate. And that was a litmus test for our kids.”
