Kristen Bell almost forgot her 12th wedding anniversary with husband Dax Shepard.
The actress, 45, made the confession to Nobody wants that season 2 premiered on October 16 when asked if she would celebrate this milestone on October 17.
After a few pauses and some confusion, Bell realized, “Oh my God! It’s my birthday!” she laughed about it, admitting to Entertainment Tonight, “You know, I don’t remember that,” and added that Shepard doesn’t remember either.
Bell and Shepard, 50, first met in 2007, got engaged in 2009 and married in 2013 at a Beverly Hills courthouse. They have two children: daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11.
During the premiere, Bell also shared that Shepard was retiring from acting and instead focusing on his Armchair expert podcast. “He likes to do things according to his own rules,” she said, noting that he continues to support her projects wholeheartedly.
Shepard even watched her steamy on-screen kiss with co-star Adam Brody to Nobody wants that and recorded the reactions of their friends. Bell joked, “He was so excited that these two characters were kissing, which says a lot.”
Shepard previously joked that his real-life chemistry with Bell was “not as good” as his with Brody on the show. “We watched this scene together, the kiss scene, which I would say is the best kiss scene ever filmed,” Shepard said at the New Yorker Festival last year.
“And my best friend, Aaron, since childhood, says, ‘Does she ever kiss you like that?’ No, I didn’t even know she could kiss like that.”
