Peshawar:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s advisor to chief information and public relations, lawyer Muhammad Ali Saif, has announced that peace had been successfully restored in the Kurram district thanks to diplomatic and determined efforts of chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
According to SAIF, the region has been rid of bunkers and weapons, with a total of around 979 bunkers belonging to the two parties destroyed.
In addition, 86 villages have been disarmed and all the weapons and confiscated ammunition were placed in police custody.
He stressed that the main source of tension between the two parties was the presence of bunkers and weapons.
Addressing the conflict, the chief minister awarded his personal helicopter with humanitarian aid. Thanks to 338 helicopter outlets, 29,140 kilograms of drugs were issued in the affected areas.
In addition, 9,290 people, including patients, were safely evacuated to Peshawar and other places.
SAIF added that development work in the region is now progressing quickly and that 100 million rupees have been approved for the repair of the Grande Parachina road.
