The Kylian Mbappé football superstar missed the Real Madrid club World Cup Cup Cup Cup, and the team revealed the reason.
Real Madrid said Thursday that Mbappé had been hospitalized due to acute gastroenteritis. The team added that Mbappe goes through “a series of tests” and will follow the appropriate course of treatment “after obtaining results.
Acute gastroenteritis is like gastric flu, but there are differences.

Mbappé, 26, started to feel symptoms on Monday and missed Real Madrid training on Tuesday.

The team did not say that it would not be available for the match on Wednesday, and head coach Xabi Alonso noted that the team “would wait for the last minute” to decide on their game status, according to The Athletic.
After Real Madrid finished a draw against Al Hilal, Alonso said that Mbappé’s disease was worse than it was originally thought.

The Mbappé calendar to come back is now uncertain.
Real Madrid has a game scheduled for Sunday against Pachuca in the Club World Cup.
Mbappé is in his first season with Real Madrid, scoring 43 goals in 56 appearances for the Spanish club.
