Dallas Mavericks goalkeeper Kyrie Irving is said to have missed the rest of the NBA season after undergoing a knee injury in a match against the Sacramento Kings on Monday evening.
Irving was diagnosed with a torn ACL, ESPN reported.
Irving, an all-star from the NBA nine times, fell and clumsily landed on his knee in the first half of the match on Monday. The Mavs star was in visible pain while tears ran over her face. He was able to stay in the game long enough to make his two attempts to throw frank, before he was helped out of the field.

He was then excluded for the rest of the match.
“It’s just who, I mean, Kai is a hard guy,” said the head coach of the Mavericks, Jason Kidd. “I asked him because they withdrew him from the field:” Are you good if you leave without shooting? The Mavericks did not offer an update on Irving’s status after the match on Monday, but Kidd described it as an unhappy moment.
“Just unlucky,” said Kidd. “I hope it is in good health, that it does not matter.”
Irving caught his knee and stayed on hardwood for several minutes after hitting the ground.

After Monday’s match with the Kings, Irving is on average 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game this season. He became the focal point of Dallas’s offensive since the SuperStar Guardian Luka Donfic was exchanged at the Los Angeles Lakers at the beginning of last month.
Irving’s injury marks the latest setback for the Mavericks, who have already played the last two weeks with Anthony Davis. Dallas acquired Davis in the success of Doncic Trade.
The center suffered an injury during the start of his Mavericks on February 8. The MAVs return to action on Wednesday when facing the Bucks in Milwaukee.
