Lanterns is defined on * ahem * light up the path for a raft of DC Universe projects (DCU) which will arrive next year. Presented as a television series of science fiction, it should be released at the beginning of 2026, which means that this will be the next production to land on our screens.
Before its launch, you will want the bottom on what we know about the original HBO Max TV. In this guide, I gathered the latest information on the Green Lantern-Arrarrring program, including my prediction of release date, its confirmed distribution and intrigue synopsis, and when a first teaser could be revealed.
So put your Green Lantern Ring, tell everyone to be wary of your power and dive.
Prediction of the release date of the lanterns

Lanterns Does not yet have a confirmed launch date. However, during a press event in February 2025 (as reported by Deadline), the co-chefs of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran said they were convinced that he would be presented in early 2026.
As for when I think it will make its debut on HBO Max – and, hope, in the regions on other platforms where one of the best streaming services has not yet been launched – I predict an arrival in March 2026.
I have no knowledge of initiates, but I bet the next Game of Thrones prequel, A knight of the seven kingdomswill arrive in January alongside The Pitt Season 2. If they end at the end of February and / or early March, Lanterns should have an unhindered race to be the big dog on HBO and his sister streaming.
With New York Comic-Con at the corner of the street, it is possible that a real release date can be confirmed as soon as possible. At the time of writing the moment, however, there is no official word on the question of whether it will happen, so we may not yet know the launch date for a few months.
Trailer Lanterns: Is there one?
No. Usually, the trailers of new HBO television programs are only published a few months before their broadcast, so we may not see one for Lanterns Until December 2025 or January 2026.
It is always possible that a teaser can be released earlier than expected. As with its launch date, New York Comic-Con would be the ideal time to do so. I do not see this happening, however-in fact, it is more likely that a trailer could be presented in Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP) in December.

Dream lanterns: confirmed and rumor

Here is the confirmed distribution of Lanterns – Those who were announced by DC studios, anyway – so far:

The participation of Septuppet, Pierre and Chandler in Lanterns was confirmed in October 2024. The duo should also play two favorite versions of Green Lantern fans, with Pierre as John Stewart and Chandler in the role of Hal Jordan.
Meanwhile, Guy Gardner of Fillion should appear in his third DCU project after 2025 Superman movie and Peacemaker Season 2. Addressing Entertainment Weekly (EW), Fillion said that Gardner would be “a little higher” in this program than in the two previous projects.
It may not be the only green lanterns that arise either. During the complete revolution of the DCU Chapter One Up-Up in January 2023, Gunn said: “We have some other lanterns in there”, so place your bets now on other members of the Green Lantern Corps. We will see.
There is a lot – and I mean a plot – other actors who are either confirmed, by a press release from Warner Bros.), but whose roles have not been identified publicly, or are only rumors. So get attached, because we are about to discuss it all.
To start, Lanterns“The primary antagonist should be Sinestro. Former green lantern which was relieved of its functions of having abused its power, Sinestro was a long -standing enemy of the Green Lantern Corps. In January, the deadline said that Ulich Thomsen had been interpreted as Supervillain. While Gunn and Co. I have not officially ratified this, the Danish actor has since confirmed on Instagram that he will play Sinestro (see above).
Kelly Macdonald will play a local sheriff named Kerry (by variety), while Poorna Jagannathan has been used to play Zoe, with a deadline suggesting that she will be in love with John Stewart. Deadline also pointed out that Garret Dillahunt was involved as a modern cowboy William Macon, but Variety has since said that the role had gone to Jason Ritter. It is therefore not known that Dillahunt will play.
Elsewhere, Deadline thinks that J. Alphonse Nicholson portray a younger version of Stewart’s father. The deadline also claimed that Jasmine Cephas Jones would portray a younger iteration from Stewart’s mother, which suggests Lanterns will include flashbacks on John’s childhood. The current versions of Stewart’s parents will be apparently played by Sherman Augustus (once again out of date) and Nicole Ari Parker (Via Variety).
But wait, there is more. Chris Coy is on board as a nervous truck driver called Waylon (out of date) and, in another exclusive, the deadline affirmed that Paul Ben-Victor had signed to play Antaan, an extraterrestrial “devoted to exposing the truth and demanding revenge against those who have wronged his people”. Finally, the deadline also reported that Cary Christopher will play a charming little town boy called Noah.
