A flight occurred in a mosque of the Cantt area of Rawalpindi, where a thief stole a laptop and a bag containing precious items while the owner was engaged in prayer. Video surface images have surfaced, capturing the suspect in action during the incident.
The images reveal a well -dressed man with a black pair of sunglasses, shirt and pants. It is seen picked up a shoulder bag containing a laptop and other personal effects of the area designated inside the mosque.
After taking the bag, the thief changed his shoes for the shoes of another worshiper before leaving the mosque.
The video surveillance shows the thief initially observing the shoe support, then taking with casualness the bag on site, before heading towards the exit. He wore a black pair of sunglasses and seemed to blend with other worshipers.
Zia-Ur-Rehman, the victim, filed a complaint with the cant’s police after noticing that his bag, containing a laptop, important documents, a USB and a charger, lacked. By examining the images, the police confirmed that an unknown thief had stolen the bag.
Police recorded a case according to the victim’s report. According to DSP Cantt, Mirza Javed Iqbal, the investigation is underway and the suspect should be apprehended soon with the help of video surveillance.
This incident follows a similar to Lahore, where a thief stole a laptop at another mosque just the day before.
