The RX 9070 XT of AMD will be sold later during the day and there are more rumors that the stock levels are relatively robust – and certainly exceeding what Nvidia managed to bring together with its RTX 5000 GPUs.
Overclockers UK (OCUK) is a large retailer in this country and has many RX 9070 XT models in stock, in particular the Sapphire pulse model.

Indeed, Adrian Thompson, who is the senior global vice-president of marketing in Sapphire, teased a photo of the Ocuk warehouse on X, as you can see above, with a “borg cube” built from GPU Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT.
And for skeptics on X, as reported by Videocardz, Ocuk actually replied to confirm that it is a solid cube of graphics cards (which means that the environment is not hollow, there are boxes throughout), and that it has more than 1,000 units of this Sapphire model.
The retailer note: “In fact, we have so much stock that we could build an armada of borg cubes about each model that we have and from all brands, we have several thousand cards in stock extending on Sapphire, PowerColor and Asrock who all have more than 1000 in stock of each brand.”
Further in this thread, Ocuk confirms that it has around 2,000 SAPPHIRE DNR 4 GPU units in stock, as well as 1,000 PowerColor and Asrock, so it’s around 4,000+ for a single British retailer. I suppose it is on the RX 9070 XT and Vanilla 9070 models.
The expected scenario is that this will be enough to go around, and the retailer thinks that “the stock will be good for a few days”, so that should not be a launch of the graphics card in flashing and yourself.
There are still better news since PDSF is lower than what I expected, and the Sapphire Pulse model mentioned in the RX 9070 XT is initially listed (at the time of writing, a few hours before launch) at £ 570. The RX 9070 starts from £ 525 with entry -level graphics cards, so it’s very promising – but there is a socket.
Ocuk observes that this PDSF price will only hold for hundreds of hundreds of units on each card sold, and that: “The PDSF is capped a few hundred, so that prices will jump once those sold.”
Analysis: an abundant stock, but expect the PDSF panels to disappear quickly
Overall, this is good news for availability, and the perspective that the RX 9070 models of AMD will not be sold immediately. And yes, it might not be a single British retailer, but it probably reflects greater availability to a large extent – rumors have so far indicated that it was.
We have heard that RDNA 4 graphics cards will now have something like a normal quantity of launch units from various sources, so the overall image is full of hope. Perhaps it will be indeed that, as suggested here, the RX 9070 models of AMD do not sell immediately, as the Blackwell GPUs of Nvidia certainly did – and many more bettors will have the opportunity to buy these products.
At what price, however, is the question, and you may be wondering: how is Ocuk only sells the first hundred tables to the PDSF? This is because AMD will give retailers a discount on the purchase of an initial quantity of GPU, to help to guarantee effectively that there are actions at the official time of the PDSF. Remember that there are no reference RX 9070 graphics cards manufactured by AMD itself, which are guaranteed to be at the PDSF, so that consumers fully depend on third-party prices here. (In short, this is the way of Team Red to guarantee certain stocks of PDSF).
For the RX 9070 XT, I expected at a requested price of almost £ 600 in the United Kingdom, so the fact that the price of the PDSF of £ 570 will increase after an initial quantity of GPU is sold through is not really a surprise. This will probably end up at £ 600, or perhaps even a little higher given the use by Ocuk of the word “jump”, which does not look like a trivial increase.
As for the RTX 5070, which was put on sale yesterday, this graphics card spoke of the dark rumors of limited stock predicted – it sold in a flash. Even Nvidia herself delayed her edition of the founders, who missed the date of sale yesterday on March 5, and will not arrive until later in the month.
Ocuk did not get RTX 5070 stock at all before launch, and only expected “small amounts of limited networks” to arrive on the day of the real sale. Overall, it seems pretty desperate for RTX 5070 buyers, but as we point out in our criticism – it is not an excellent graphics card anyway.
Note that this fact could stoke RX 9070 sales of AMD – We loved the RX 9070 XT, as you may have seen – which means that even a relatively solid allowance of the offer could sell faster than expected.
