Ahead of its release, Peacock released a new music video from Villain: for good, showing a brief but exclusive preview.
The images feature Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Jeff Goldblum. Additionally, early reactions to the upcoming film have been glowing.
Reports indicate that the musical sequel is expected to get 10 nominations, like its predecessor, at the Oscars.
On the other hand, Cynthia, while promoting the film, remembers watching the show Wicked on Broadway, of which the screen version was adapted, at 25 years old.
“I hadn’t seen the musical,” she said. “I saw him when I was 25 and I went on one date for my birthday, and I ended up being in this place where I felt safe.”
Additionally, Ariana, who plays Glinda, gushed about her role, revealing: “I think that spark of connection with my craft was also quite disconnected for a little while. It felt really safe to fall in love with creating again and like maybe I was being seen for the first time.”
Villain: for good will arrive on November 21.
