Lauren Silverman expressed nothing but gratitude at the end of the year, revealing she was “grateful” for her relationship with the music mogul as they head into 2026.
Despite the joyful surprise, the 48-year-old American socialite and entrepreneur admitted she found the New Year “isolating and difficult” as she chose to stay sober.
For the uninitiated, the couple is preparing to get married this year. However, they spent the holiday at home in Barbados and shared a poolside photo to honor the occasion.
Lauren, who recently joined Instagram, shared the photo of Simon, 66, shirtless and wearing pale blue shorts.
The couple looked loved up as Lauren posed with her arms around the former. X factor chief.
Lauren – who has already legally changed her last name to Cowell – cut a stylish figure in a plunging black swimsuit, matching sarong and a pair of stylish sunglasses.
Sharing a glowing post about Simon, Lauren said: “Grateful for who I can stand next to as one year ends and another begins. Happy New Year everyone. Let it be an ending that leads to something beautiful.
However, she also highlighted her struggles at this time of year, explaining how difficult it can be to be the only person not drinking at celebrations.
Lauren explained: “This is my second New Year’s Eve without alcohol. Sometimes nights like this can feel difficult and isolating.
Especially when you’re the only one not drinking at a party. But it’s definitely worth it. If you’re trying, struggling, or just thinking about it, I see you. I know what it feels like and you got it.
“Here’s to a new year of clarity, presence, strength and well-being in your skin. One day at a time.
Lauren celebrated the first anniversary of her sobriety journey last month, as she reflected on the improvement in her relationships and mental health since quitting alcohol.
