Islamabad:
Lawyers observed a partial strike on Wednesday on the appeal of the Islamabad bar council after judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the IHC was excluded from the judicial work.
The strike disrupted the legal proceedings of routine, although the hearings continued.
The secretary of the IHC bar, Manzoor Jajja, in a statement, urged lawyers not to appear in court as a protest mark.
Consequently, the list of causes of the chief of the IHC, Sarfraz Dogar, was canceled, while judge Saman Rafat Imtiaz did not reach the court and heard only urgent questions in the chambers.
