Karachi:

Protests by lawyers against the Hyderabad police continued for a second day, blocking traffic on the adjacent road adjacent to Wadhu Wah Gate in Qasimabad.

Tents have been created and the support of various political and religious parties has strengthened Protestant lawyers, which require the suppression of SSP Hyderabad, Dr Farrukh Ali Lanjar.

The president of Qaumi Awami Tehreek, Ayaz Latif Palijo, the head of the Sindh party, Syed Zain Shah, and others visited the Protestant lawyers and assured them their support.

Many lawyers from different cities in the Hyderabad division also joined the sit-in, which started on Thursday afternoon.

The merchant unions in Hyderabad, the second largest city in Sindh after Karachi, published statements in favor of lawyers’ requests.

Mirpurkhas lawyers, Tando Allah Yar, Mehrabpur and Jamshoro also organized demonstrations and sit-ins, blocking various highways.

Song of the slogans against the police, the lawyers warned the government that their struggle would continue until the SSP is withdrawn from its post.

Sources have informed that the provincial government has contacted lawyers for talks, but an impasse remains on the issue of the abolition of Lanjar.
