- Leaked renders of the Google Pixel 10a show it almost identical to the Pixel 9a
- It could also have similar specs, but a “boosted” chipset
- The price could also stay the same
So far, we haven’t heard much about Google Pixel 10a rumors, but the biggest leak has just surfaced, as renders and possible specs have now been shared.
Android Headlines and @OnLeaks – a leaker with an excellent track record – have shown renders of a phone that looks a lot like the Google Pixel 9a, but is apparently the Pixel 10a. It has the same oblong camera block, the same general shape and the same positions for ports and buttons as its predecessor.
Unfortunately, that’s not a good thing, as our review of the Google Pixel 9a described this phone as “ugly as sin.” Of course, it’s somewhat subjective, but it certainly lacks the distinct design of the main Pixel models.
The only visual aspect that appears to be an upgrade is the bezels, with the Google Pixel 10a’s bezels appearing smaller here. However, in an article on
The Google Pixel 10a could also be slightly thicker than its predecessor, with rumored dimensions of 153.9 x 72.9 x 9mm, and it could have a slightly smaller 6.2-inch display (down from the 6.3-inch Pixel 9a).
It will also apparently have the same Tensor G4 chipset as the Pixel 9a, although it’s a “boosted” version, which likely means higher clock speeds. The cameras will also supposedly remain the same, i.e. a 48 MP wide camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13 MP front camera.
A little refreshment
So what actually improves, other than the Pixel 10a perhaps having a marginal improvement in performance? Well, this leak speculates that the phone’s apparently slightly thicker build could facilitate a larger capacity battery than its predecessor’s 5,100mAh cell, and an earlier leak suggested that its screen might also get slightly brighter, but that’s apparently all.
The good news is that the Google Pixel 10a apparently won’t cost more than its predecessor, with a starting price of $499 for a model with 128GB of storage. However, it’s unclear whether or not other storage capacities will be available, and pricing for other regions hasn’t been disclosed either – although if it’s the same as the Pixel 9a, you’ll be looking at £499 / AU$849.
We should find out soon, with this leak speculating that the phone will land in early 2026. However, if the other details in this leak are accurate, it may not be worth the wait.
