- LG revealed American prices for its LG G5 and LG C5 OLED televisions
- The prices are identical or cheaper than their predecessors
- The two series are available in pre-order via LG
LG announced prices for two of its OLED 2025 television series, the LG G5 and LG C5, and in certain new welcome, the prices are the same and even cheaper for certain sizes compared to the models of last year.
Available at the order now from LG, the LG G5 and the LG C5 are successors of the LG G4 and LG C4, two of the best OLED TVs from 2024. The price for the 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches LG G5, is as follows:
- LG 55 inches G5 OLED: $ 2,499
- LG 65 inches G5 OLED: $ 3,399
- LG 77 inch G5 OLED: $ 4,499
- LG 83 inch G5 OLED: $ 6,499
- LG 97 inch G5 OLED: $ 27,99
Interestingly, there is no mention of the new LG 48 inch G5, which was announced in the United Kingdom with the other models earlier this month with prices.
The price of the LG C5 series, available in six sizes, is as follows:
- LG 42 inches C5 OLED: $ 1,399
- LG 48 inch C5 OLED: $ 1,599
- LG 55 inches C5 OLED: $ 1,999
- LG 65 inches C5 OLED: $ 2,699
- LG 77 inch C5 OLED: $ 3,699
- LG 83 inch C5 OLED: $ 5,399
Compared to the LG G4 and LG C4 of last year, the launch prices of the G5 and C5 are largely the same, with a few exceptions.
The G5 of 55 and 77 inch and 42 inch C5 all launch $ 100 cheaper than their respective counterparts in 2024, which is good news.
Pre-orders for each model are available on the LG website, with links to each model below:
The announcement of these prices also gives us our first version dates, all the models of the G5 and C5 listed as available in March 2025. Although there is no specific date, this means that availability is imminent because we are already in the second week of March. This version calendar follows the same model as LG OLED have had in recent years.
LG has not yet announced a release or price date for the LG B5 in the United States.
A price surprise
These are the first official prizes of the LG G5 and the LG C5 in the United States that we received. We first predicted that they would be more expensive compared to their counterparts of 2024 after a first overview of these 2025 (representing the trends in inflation and pricing in previous years). However, European prices for LG G5, C5 and B5 and United Kingdom prices for the LG G5 have recently been announced, revealing that prices remained the same for the G4 in Europe and in the United Kingdom and for the C5 in Europe. We hoped that this would also be the case for the United States, and fortunately it is.
What we have not planned in all these new prices is that some models would be cheaper. Yes, at the time of writing, prices are always at a higher level and much higher than the LG OLED 2024 models, which have seen their prices drop in the past year. But for launch prices, corresponding to the LG OLED 2024 range, and even becoming cheaper, could be a good sign for the future. Could the prices of the G5 and C5 series finally drop even lower than their predecessors?
We have seen the LG G5 and C5 in person and we are delighted with the way in which the two progress on two of the best televisions of 2024. LG suggested an increase in brightness at 40% of the full screen in the LG G5 compared to the LG G4 and now we have seen the G5 and the G4 side by side and can confirm that the increase in the brightness is very real.
We have also seen Webos 25 and its new range of fascinating AI features, including the AI sound assistant, which allows users to personalize the integrated sound profile of their LG TV TV in action and, Spoiler alert, it’s very cool. From what we have seen elsewhere, the C5 looks like a very competent TV.
We have not yet had the chance to test the new LG G5 or C5, but let’s still hope in the coming weeks. We are encouraged by what we have seen so far and are impatient to get their hands on them.
